resistance is character-forming - i have to say, there is definitely one thing i love about iain m. banks' science fiction novels. it's the way he names the space ships, there is just something so wonderfully tongue in cheek about it. i am currently reading look to windward, which i have had sitting for a while now, but after consider phlebas i had been putting off reading it. another name which sticks out so far is the nuisance value, which is a rapid offensive unit.
